Modulating Chimney Exhaust Systems
from Enervex®

The CASV, Chimney Automation SystemTM is a demand controlled exhaust system designed for commercial boilers and water heaters in buildings where the exhaust is powered by a chimney fan on the exterior of the building. It maintains a precise draft by constantly adjusting the exhaust rate to meet current needs. The concept can provide substantial operating savings over gravity systems and offer significantly better draft control which reduces emissions.

The CASV System can be combined with an MCAS, Modulating Combustion Air-supply SystemTM and can also work with a MODS, Modulating Over-draft Damper SystemTM

The CASI Chimney Automation SystemTM (inline fan) adds great space savings and asthetics while as it keeps chimney termination fans out of sight.


Sustainable Advantages

Economical. Over a 15-year period a typical demand-controlled CASI-system serving 4 high-efficiency boilers in a 20-story building costs 50% less to operate than a combined system without demand-control. Most of these savings are energy savings due to boiler-efficiency improvements.

Energy Savings. A demand-controlled mechanical draft system provides more precise draft control so the O2 levels can be lowered. This can lead to annual savings of 2-4% and reduce emission dramatically.

Material and Labor Savings. Combining chimney flues and reducing diameters save material and labor when using a demand-controlled mechanical draft system. Smaller chimneys are easier and less expensive to install.

Space Savings. Combining chimneys and reducing diameters save buildings space. A small footprint can save as much as $15,000 worth of space in a 20-story building. Even more space can be saved by redirecting the chimney out through a sidewall.

Aesthetics. Today's buildings are designed to be functional and attractive. While the ENERVEX demand-controlled mechanical draft system provide great space savings, it can also keep chimney terminations out of sight.

    The MODS, Modulating Over-Draft Damper SystemTM is a demand controlled exhaust system that's designed for buildings that experience excessive chimney draft, which impacts the ability of the boilers and water heaters to operate efficiently. It maintains a precise draft by constantly adjusting the exhaust rate to meet current needs. The concept can provide substantial operating savings over gravity systems and offer significantly better draft control which reduces emissions.

    ADF
    Automatic Damper
    from Enervex®


    The ADF Automatic Damper is a single blade, two position damper powered by an acutator. The ADF is available in standard stack diameters ranging from 6 to 36 inches. The acutator interlocks with a heating appliance to open the damper when the appliance is in use, and close it when the appliance is not in use.

    Description The ADF is powered by a 120 or 240VAC actuator. The actuator is equipped with Enerdrive fail-safe system to open the damper (and has two endswitches to prove damper postion open/closed) in the event of an electrical or mechanical failure. The ADF stack section has a 1/2 inch flange and will attach to most standard flanged stack. The ADF is rated for temperatures up to 500 degrees F.

    The ADF should be installed with sufficient clearance above the boiler outlet to allow for damper protrusion into the stack when fully open.

    The ADF has adjustable OPEN position, so it can operate as a Balancing Baffle as well.

    Material
    The damper is made of 20GA, type 304 stainless steel.

    Standard Equipment
    ONe set of V-bands for proper mating to a UL308 positive pressure vent.

    Optional Equipment
    Weather proof enclosure for actuator.
